right. But we had only seven days and wanted to see a little bit of
these places, so we decided to try it. If you're not afraid spending a
lot of time in buses, train and taxi and have so little time like us,
here is the detailled outline of our week!

- Date: 25th of September to 1st of October
- Plane: SG-Hong Kong (JetStar, 174 s$) and Hanoi-SG (Tiger Airways, 140 s$)
- Price: around 750 s$ all inclusive

Total time spent in transportation: more than 63 hours, that more than 2 days and an half :) …
- 7 hours of plane (Singapore-Hong Kong and Hanoi-Singapore)
- 40 hours in trains (Hong Kong-Guangzhou, Guangzhou-Kunming, Lao Cai-Hanoi)
- 16 hours of bus (Kunming-Hekou/Lao Cai, Hanoi-Halong Bay and back)
Kilometers travelled (excluding plane, too easy :)): 2750 kms
- Hong Kong to Guangzhou: 170 kms (3hrs - 60km/h)
- Guangzhou to Kunming: 1650 kms (25hrs - 66km/h)
- Kunming to Hekou (chinese border): 350 kms (12h - 30 km/h)
- Lao Cai (vietnamese border) to Hanoi: 250 kms (12h - 20km/h)
- Hanoi to Halong Bay and back: 330 kms (6h - 55km/h)
It makes no doubt it was kind of travelling trip :).
